Welcome to the unfettered world of the disposable contact lens. Gone are the days of the nightly cleaning routine and -- in some cases -- gone are the days of having to take your contacts off before hitting the sack. The daily contact lens is designed to a numbers of things, namely: correct your vision, not irritate your eyes, and not require an ounce of forethought. They are completely gas-permeable contacts that are designed to deliver an incredible amount of oxygen to your cornea. This gas-permeability means you don’t have to bother with taking them off, and in most cases, you don’t have to worry about cleaning them. When you’re done wearing them, you dispose of them and put on a fresh pair.
For most contact wearers, the freedom of not having to wear glasses is dampened by having to vigilantly clean and remove their contacts every night. To say that this can put a cramp in your style understating the case. No one likes to stop everything, wash up, wash a pair of contacts, store them then get on with falling asleep.
