Daily Disposable Contact Lenses
The daily disposable contact lens is designed to two things really well; correct our vision and not bother your eyes. It just so happens that it also doesn’t saddle you with additional out-of-pocket costs, like daily cleaners, and time-consuming cleaning rituals. They are the ultimate convergence of convenience and comfort, making your active lifestyle that much more active.
Stopping to clean or soak or re-hydrate is a thing of the past. The unparalleled gas-permeability of daily contact lenses are what make them so comfortable and, ultimately, so primed to be disposed of. They allow incredible amount of oxygen to nourish the cornea (the part of the eye that houses the iris and pupil) by being incredibly thin. This thinness does not contribute to their sustainability, though. If you were to try and clean them, you would probably tear them.
Enjoy them for what they were designed to do: be worn once a day and disposed of.
On the other side of the daily contact coin is the disposable contact lens. They are also very thin, highly gas-permeable lenses that are designed to minimize you cleaning time, while maximizing your active time. The difference lies in the fact that they are not all necessarily “daily” contacts. The majority of disposable contacts are designed to be worn for approximately two weeks, then disposed of. Think of them as more durable versions of the daily lens.
